Background Auto-Recording

The auto-recording feature helps you record your memories in the background while traveling or on business trips, without needing to manually check in.

1. Turn on the “Auto Record” switch (available at the top of the home page, when creating a diary, or on the diary details page)
2. Grant WeChat mini-program background location permission
3. [Optional] Subscribe to mini-program notifications or follow the PathMemo service account to receive auto-recording generation notifications.

PathMemo’s auto-recording feature is not like apps such as World Fog or Amap that record every route you pass through. We believe memories come with different weights — too much recording makes review difficult. PathMemo intelligently analyzes your daily journey and keeps key memory points for more efficient review.
